After EIGHT years together...two girls, one house. Moses, the girls, and I take a trip to our favorite place...NYC, Duh lol. We were enjoying the sites New York has to offer and then on a chilly day (if you know us, you know we love the cold) in December (the 6th to be exact). We went to Urbanspace Vanderbilt, a food court near Grand Central Terminal AND which happened to be near the jeweler Moses had purchased the engagement ring. He then said to me that he left his phone in the restroom (where he pretended to use it earlier, all part of the plan lol) at a nearby Starbucks. He then went to the jeweler, not Starbucks lol and picked up the ring. We then hopped in a Uber from midtown and took it to one of our favorite places in Brooklyn, a neighborhood called Dumbo. If you’ve never been to Dumbo, it’s where you have some unobstructed views of Manhattan and the the Brooklyn Bridge. We took a small stroll as Moses was in search for a secluded area. Once Moses found a spot on top of some stone steps overlooking the East River, Moses then asked our oldest daughter to grab his phone and record what was about to take place. All of you that know Moses, you know he did his best trying to position Emilie (who was 6 at the time) and the phone, to capture this moment lol. He then got down on one knee and proposed to ME !! The moment was absolutely perfect !! The rest is history because of course you know I said YES and then slight “finally” !! Let’s be honest...IT WAS A LONG TIME COMING lol !!
