WEDDING WEBSITE FORMAT

Packing tips:

- Power adapters: If you don't have one, you can order one here.

- Currency Exchange: We suggest exchanging dollars to shekels so you have cash for taxi rides, shopping at the markets, etc. See here for more useful info.

- Day-to-day clothing: The weather will likely be between 75-85 degrees. Tel Aviv is a casual beachside city, so typical summer wear is perfect. If you plan to travel to Jerusalem, bring clothing that covers your shoulders and knees out of respect.

- Clothing for events: Tuesday's beach event will be a white party, the suggested attire is Festive, Beachy Casual Chic (think: What you'd wear to a Labor Day party in Greece). Thursday's wedding will be Festive, Summer-y Semiformal. Friday night's shabbat dinner will be Dressy Casual.

Traveling to Israel:

- The time zone is 7 hours ahead of NYC

- Your passport needs at least 6 months validity from the date you plan to leave Israel

- When entering or leaving, your passport isn't stamped - instead, you are given entry/exit slips of paper. Please don't throw away these slips - keep them inside your passport while you are in Israel, you may need to hand them back when you re-enter the US.

- After landing in Israel, the best way to get to Tel Aviv is by taxi. You can either download the Gett app (Uber for Israel) to pay by card, or grab a taxi from the taxi stand to pay by cash (shekels).

Staying in Israel:

- The best way to get around in Tel Aviv is ordering a taxi on app called Gett. Uber is also active, but less commonly used.

- Other transportation alternatives across Tel Aviv include walking (the city is super walkable!), scooters (download the Bird or Lime), bikes, or AutoTel, the city's version of Zip Car.

- To get your hair done before the wedding, I suggest Highlights Salon in North TLV. I recommend you book in advance!

- The tap water is safe to drink.

- On Saturdays (Shabbat), many shops, banks, and public offices will be closed. Trains and buses tend not to operate, and only non- kosher restaurants will be open. But don't panic, you won't struggle for things to do, or to find somewhere toe at and drink! Saturday is a great day to join thousands of Israelis on the beach.
