Shivani and Amar first met on June 21st 2018. Both of them recently moved to New York City starting new jobs. Their first words to each other were when Amar said “wow, you’re tall” and Shivani laughed because of Amar’s own height. It was at the Nomad bar where they shared their life stories and experiences over cocktails throughout the New York summer night.
Overtime, Amar fell in love with Shivani’s personal values and her appreciation for the simple things in life. Shivani fell in love with Amar’s caring personality and his love for all things family and friends. They’ve shared many experiences together: travelling the world, trying out new restaurants in the city, biking, hiking, and dancing through the night.
Fast forward to 2023 when Amar decided to pop the most important question! Amar wanted to plan a proposal around all the things Shivani loves and appreciates. The proposal itself was themed after a central park picnic, the celebratory dinner was with immediate family over her favorite cuisine (Indian), and finally the engagement party was at a rooftop bar surround by the warmth of friends and family.
Shivani and Amar got happily engaged on August 26th, 2023. They both are extremely excited to marry each other on 11/1/24 surrounded by all the love from their family and friends
