Punta Cana is the first international trip we took as a couple! The trip was planned before we started dating however in the coming months when all the other travel partners backed out we found ourselves on a "baecation" like no other. This was our I Love You moment ❣️

There are 17 different room types, so we feel confident that our guests will find a room best suited for them-with that being said your preferred room may sell out so get to it!

The attached photo shows the layout of the suites. Click it to enlarge. There are several category types that may have you confused. Please see below explanations:

**CATEGORIES**

1. Resort Suites. These will be listed first, this is a family friendly area of the resort. These rooms are situated near the pool/beach as well as the area near the boulevard that is where the shops and entertainment are.

2. Adults Only Suites. These rooms are situated in the back corner of the resort and though further away from the main pool they are near the adults only pool and this area of the resort there are no families/children.

3. Unique Suites. These are the club level rooms, they are in the front of the resort closest to beach and main pool. The unique rooms offer upgrades, exclusive zones in the restaurants, pool, and lobby areas, as well as a members only beach club (waiter service included), and gourmet dining options. (if you are over 18 you may also still use adults only pool/areas)

This is a large resort with many things to do including a casino, bowling, nightclub, and many restaurants, bars and shopping. Be prepared to get your steps in! Or you can choose a room closest to your most frequent activities!

We highly recommend going ahead and booking a car service for round trip transportation from the airport to the hotel and back. Make sure you have your flight itinerary first!

Be sure to book your airfare 6 months in advance to take advantage of the lowest rates. Lopesan is located in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic so that will be the closest airport. The resort is a short 30 minute drive from the airport.

The Dominican Republic is a Caribbean country located in the Caribbean Sea on the island of Hispanolia which it shares with Haiti. DR is just east of Haiti and west (separated by the sea) of Puerto Rico.

Traveling to DR does require a valid passport. Please make sure yours is valid and not expired.

If you need to renew or apply for a new passport be sure to give as much time as possible. The passport turn around times are very high right now. 

After many hours of research, we have some tips & tricks to navigate this massive resort!

*This is a very large resort which means it requires walking, if you are not super mobile we recommend strategically choosing your room close to whatever amenities you plan to use most frequently.

*There is no pool swim-up bars or but there are walk-up bars close to all the pools-while we wish this were different, we are sure the resort is so amazing you won't miss it. Be sure to keep a map on you to be able to always locate the closest food & drink! 

*To that point, bringing your own insulated cups/tumblers can help keep your drinks cold at the pool!

*For all a la carte restaurants (AKA not buffets) BE SURE TO MAKE YOUR DINNER RESERVATIONS IN ADVANCE. We cannot stress this enough!

*Bring some dolla dolla bills to tip your favorite concierge, bartenders etc :)
