Zak the Baker

Zak's is known for its world-class bread, which some of the city's best restaurants order to serve to their customers. Here at the mothership, though, the painstakingly made pleated loaves are topped with corned beef or avocado, and rye bread, chocolate babkas, and quiche all fly off the shelves. If you’re avoiding carbs and gluten, there are soups, salads, and hummus, and the entire facility is kosher.

Jaffa at St. Roch Market

Miami’s Spice Detective, private chef and culinary director for Shiraz Events Yaniv Cohen is behind the buzzy Middle Eastern spot inside the Design District’s St. Roch Market.

The Carrot

Nutrition buff Mario Laufer and his family own a number of these health-conscious juice bars around town, but Surfside is the only location keeping things 100 percent kosher.

KYU

The crowd here is as fashionable as the neighborhood, so expect to see plenty of regulars and art lovers tucking into fried chicken.

Global travels inspired the eclectic farm to table menu at this modern spot with a laid back feel.

Matador Room

Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s Matador Room at Ian Schrager’s Miami Beach, EDITION hotel has resurrected the rather genteel concept of the supper club. The design is jaw-dropping and the menu everything you'd expect from a Jean-George restaurant.
