There are many great restaurants in Miami and Miami Beach. We’ve listed some of our favorites. Reservations can be hard to get, and outdoor seating is usually on a first-come basis. Most of the restaurants listed are on OpenTable or Resy so you can book well in advance.

Vizcaya Museum & Gardens

3251 South Miami Avenue, Miami

Vizcaya Museum & Gardens has been a Miami landmark for more than 100 years. Visitors from all over the world travel to Vizcaya to admire its gorgeous architecture and lush gardens. A popular photoshoot and film location, you might recognize it from various movies and television shows, including Bad Boys II and Iron Man 3.

Wynwood Walls Street Art

2520 NW 2nd Avenue, Miami

In the warehouse district of Wynwood, the formerly drab exterior warehouse walls have been transformed into colorful pieces of art. The murals of The Wynwood Walls have brought new life to this area. Brought about by Tony Goldman in 2009, the district has attracted big names in the world of street art from around the world. Be sure to venture beyond the official Wynwood Walls and check out the unique galleries, shops and restaurants located throughout Wynwood. Local favorites include Panther Coffee, Zak the Baker, Coyo Taco and The Salty Donut.

The Design District

The Design District was developed as an alternative to the Bal Harbour Mall for upscale shopping. The district is rooted in retail and includes more than 170 brands, including flagship stores for Chanel, Balenciaga, Hermès, Fendi, Dior, Cartier, Louis Vuitton, and more – making it the ultimate destination for fashion fanatics.

Fairchild Tropical Gardens

10901 Old Cutler Road, Miami

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is an 83-acre botanic garden with extensive collections of rare tropical plants including palms, cycads, flowering trees, and vines. Be sure to stop by the Wings of the Tropics exhibit, where you can see hundreds of spectacular butterflies year-round.

South Pointe Park

South Pointe Park is a great place to walk along the water on the southern tip of Miami Beach, from the bay to the ocean.

Traveling Around Miami

The best way to get around Miami is by car. Uber and Lyft are both popular methods of transportation. Multiple taxi companies also operate within Miami. Rental cars are an option, but please keep in mind that parking is limited in many areas of the city.
