Located on Lower King Street, just a pinch north of Broad. Have pie & beer for lunch or grits & biscuits for dinner at this refined bistro, bakery & bar. 

HUSK

They an ever-changing menu of locally sourced Southern dishes served in a restored Victorian-era home. They explore an ingredient-driven cuisine that begins with the rediscovery of heirloom products and redefines what it means to cook and eat in the South.

ACME LOWCOUNTRY KITCHEN

They aren't downtown but Acme is worth the drive to Isle of Palm for a upscale, yet casual breakfast featuring coastal cuisine with a classic fare. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served with flavor profiles that exemplify fresh local ingredients and sustainable seafood.

LEON'S OYSTER SHOP

It's a comfortable Southern joint, housed in an old body shop serving fried chicken, oysters, lots of salads, cheap beer, soft serve, Rosé on tap, tons of grower Champagne, and good cocktails. Definitely worth checking out!


CALLIES BISCUITS

They are a small grab & go eatery that serves a variety of piping hot biscuits, pimento cheese sandwiches, and other locally inspired breakfast, lunch, and late night treats.

CARMELLA'S

In the heart of downtown Charleston, Carmella’s Cafe and Dessert Bar has a vast array of continually changing desserts, gelato, and sorbet, as well as fresh, organic coffees, sandwiches, wine, beer and cocktails. Their desserts are TRULY DELICIOUS!

BLIND TIGER PUB

They are located on Broad Street in Charleston in an old alehouse dating back to 1803. They are one of the city's oldest and most haunted bars, that offers a beautiful walled courtyard where you can have drink and some good pub grub.

THE WATCH ROOFTOP KITCHEN AND SPIRITS

The Watch is located in the Restoration Hotel. They offer a farm to table restaurant, celebrating the bounty of local ingredients, sourced directly from nearby purveyors, and while enjoying one of the best views in the entire city. It's a quite place that has good food, drinks and a 180 view of the city!

CITRUS CLUB @ THE DEWBERRY

It's known for its steepled skyline and sea-skimming views, The Dewberry’s 8th floor terrace features the highest rooftop in Charleston. The views are spectacular and the drinks are truly GREAT but they are not cheap so keep this in mind.

JUANITA GREENBERG'S NACHO ROYALE

They make real Mexican-ish food prepared fresh and fast. Located on Wentworth Street in Historic Charleston and featuring original style nachos, quesadillas, and big fat healthy burritos. This is a low key local place to have a drink and some tacos inside on on their back patio.
