We first met while teaching music at a studio in Atlanta. Our relationship started out as a friendship and we occasionally talked over coffee and snacks in the break room. We shared commonalities like music interests  and similar upbringing with religion and family, but neither of us "knew" until one of our office parties around the holidays. We went to an arcade and restaurant in Atlanta called Main Event and spent the whole night together. We were the last ones to leave and stayed out until 2 a.m. playing ski-ball (our now favorite competitive arcade game). We laughed, played, and talked all night until the place was closing and then we knew it was time to part ways. Nothing was said about that night for while, but the two of us knew there was something more than just a friendship; it was a spark we couldn't ignore.

Fast-forward to February, and Ben invited me to his solo performance at a place called Chase's in Norcross where he sang and played violin and guitar. It was Valentine's Day and I had no plans, so I went to hear him after work. I sat at the bar by myself and I felt like I was at a private show, because he frequently gazed into my eyes as he was singing. That was the beginning of forever for us and it was inevitable after that moment. The sweetest part is that Ben and I will be playing and singing at that same place (Chase's) on Valentine's Day this year where we fell in love last year!
