Key Info
All foreign visitors to India will require a visa. Bad news is that this was available online, but has been retracted for British citizens (if you have another passport, it is likely you will be able to do it online - check here: indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html)
We will monitor the situation and send out comms if this changes and e-visas are available again.
For all British passport holders, VFS Global process visas on behalf of India, and there centres located all over the country. It costs £72 and normally takes 2-3 days to process once the application and passport has been submitted at the VFS centre. We would recommend getting this sorted in January. More information can be found here: visa.vfsglobal.com/one-pager/india/uk/visa-services/english/index.html#tourist
Getting to Udaipur
Depending on your trip whereabouts before or after the wedding, we would suggest flying into:
Mumbai for those wishing to explore Southern India including Goa, Hampi, Kerala
Delhi for those wishing to explore Northern India including Rajasthan, Agra (Taj Mahal), Amritsar (Golden Temple) etc. Delhi is the closer airport to Udaipur out of the two.
Virgin & BA are the main airlines that fly direct from London to Delhi/Mumbai. Both airlines have confirmed they will refund flights into airline vouchers (which can be redeemed on any flight bookings up until April 2023).
