Vegas to Texas

When I moved to Texas and started working for Amazon, I never thought I would fall in love with an amazing man, let alone be marrying him! Fast forward through some awkward flirting and two pups later and here we are. Couldn't be more blessed!

Meeting My Wife

I remember first seeing Sam at work and thinking to myself that she was the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. The more I saw her, the more I thought 'I'm going to marry this girl someday'. Then after a few dates, she introduced me to her pup and the rest was history. Ever since then we've been a family.

First Date

We spent the day walking around ikea, exchanging stories about ourselves and finished the night with a nice romantic candlelit dinner. We laughed for hours as we talked and realized we had been there for hours, but it felt like minutes. No time was long enough for us to be together, we planned our second date for the next morning because we couldn't imagine waiting any longer to spend more time together. It was truly perfect.

Sam

She Said YES!

I knew I wanted to marry Samantha and I knew I wanted to do it with her family around because they mean the most to her and it would make it just that much more special. I called her mom and asked if I could propose to her on Thanksgiving evening in her parents backyard with a few 'stringy lights' to dazzle things up. Deanna took my vision to the next level and channeled Samantha's boho vibe perfectly, with a few stringy lights around the edges.

I was so nervous that day and of course Sam kept asking me 'when can we get married?' 'i want to marry you' and I so badly wanted to tell her that I was going to ask her in a few short hours, but for those of you that know Sam, you know patience isn't her strongest suit.

We tricked Samantha into thinking the whole backyard set-up was for family photos, so when she was helping set things up the rest of us were cracking up because she had no clue she was helping set up her proposal!

The morning of Thanksgiving, the forecast showed it was going to rain. When does it ever really rain in Vegas right? It ended up raining throughout the day and getting pretty cold as we entered the evening. I knew Sam would want to take a picture with me after family photos were done and thats when I was going to ask.

With her family surrounding her and keepsakes from her loved ones who couldn't be there with us, I nervously posed for a picture with her and seconds later was down on one knee asking her to marry me. I was so nervous I can't even remember what I was saying to her when I proposed so when she said 'YES', I had the most overwhelming feeling of happiness I have ever felt! I can't wait to see what the future has in store for us!
