The closest airport is Malaga (AGP) approximately 30 minutes from Cabopino. The majority of flights are released in September and will vary in price depending on the days you wish to fly. Prices range from £100-200 return. As we are out of school holidays (Sam has an extra week in May!) the odd deal under £100 can always be found. I would not recommend leaving it any later than end of January to book flights.

If there is parking at your accommodation I would recommend hiring a car to save money on airport transfers. HOWEVER, Spanish car companies will try anything to rip you off so make sure you follow their rules. Always select ‘on airport pickup’ and a ‘full/full’ fuel policy. Take out separate insurance from iCarinsurance.com as the car company will try and charge you up to €30 a day on collection of the car. Make sure you take the car back clean (there are hoovers at every petrol station) otherwise they will charge you a cleaning fee. Any questions or further help needed on car hire just let me know.

Hiring a car in Spain is very cheap (€3/€5 a day) and we like the flexibility of a car so always pre-book. If travelling in a small group I would recommend this as airport transfers can be up to €60 one way.

There are plenty of taxis on the Costa Del Sol, majority of the time you don’t have to book, taxi ranks are full and resturants/bars are always happy to order your cabs. If pre-booking taxis Marbella Taxis are very reliable.

The tests are ordered and sent to your home for when you return. you are given a code for your test which is checked at the airport. This then allows you to pass through the airport on your return to the UK.

• Currently you need a pre-departure test (lateral flow test) This can be taken 3, 2 or 1 day before you fly. It can be booked at MALAGA airport. The centre is open from :

• The test is quick and results are back in 20mins.
• The cost is 24 euros. You only have to pay when arriving at the airport 3 hours before flight. You take the test and the results come 20 minutes later.
