It all started when Eash moved to Brooklyn in 2018 for his rotations. Sai was working as a paralegal and was about to start law school. They started talking in January but due to their busy schedules, their first date was not until a month later. That month in between they were texting non-stop and they both realized that this could turn into something very special. For their first date Eash made reservations at Gnoccheria in Manhattan. In true Eash form, at the end of the meal he could not help but take home Sai's leftovers. Both of them left each other that night knowing that there were going to be many more dinners to come.
On their third date, Eash decided to show Sai around Brooklyn and take a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. Unbeknownst to either of them, they had been walking around the city talking endlessly for eight hours. They picked up a pie of Grimaldi's margherita pizza and sat outside watching the sunset from the Old Brooklyn Pier. It was also then that Eash asked Sai to be his girlfriend.
After a year of being together, Eash matched into residency and knew it was time to take the next step. Prior to their annual Aruba trip, Eash insisted they go out to dinner to "celebrate his residency." He took it back to where it all started and brought Sai to the Old Brooklyn Pier. As they were walking to the "restaurant", a photographer approached the both of them alleging to be taking photos for the Brooklyn Parks Association. He requested they take photos on the rocks by the water in different poises. After a few shots, he asked them to face back to back. Sai was waiting to feel her back against Eash but when she didnt, she turned around and found him down on one knee. That was when she decided to #SaiYesToSwamy!
