Our ceremony will be next door to the Glessner House at the Chicago Women's Park and Gardens.
After the Ceremony, guests are welcome to take a tour of the Glessner House and explore the Park.
Fun fact: we'll be married by the oldest surviving home in Chicago!
Chicago Women’s Park & Gardens totals 3.23 acres and formerly housed the Vietnam Veterans Museum. Opened to the public in 2000, Chicago Women’s Park and Gardens honors the contributions women have made to the city throughout its history and provides a quiet respite for the community.
What to wear
Attire is formal (no tux necessary) for the the Ceremony and Reception.
Shoes: Thick heel/wedges are strongly recommended for heel wearers. Most of the evening will be spent on grassy terrain.

(Next to building 1910 S Indiana Ave)
Lot opens at 3:30pm and closes at 5pm.
It'll reopen from 10pm-11:30pm.
Wedding
Our reception will be in the courtyard and coach house of The Glessner House. We fell in love with the space immediately because of it's beautiful space and rich Chicago history.
We encourage anyone who's interested to take a 15 minute tour of the house during cocktail hour. The Wedding Party pictures will be taken at this time so guest will have plenty of time to explore!
Info:
The John J. Glessner House, is an architecturally important 19th-century residence located at 1800 S. Prairie Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. It was designed in 1885–1886 by architect Henry Hobson Richardson and completed in late 1887. The property was designated a Chicago Landmark on October 14, 1970.
John Jacob Glessner (1843–1936) was a partner in the firm of Warder, Bushnell & Glessner, a farm machinery manufacturer headquartered in Springfield, Ohio but relocated to Chicago where he opened a branch office. In 1902, the firm and four others, including firms controlled by J. P. Morgan, Cyrus McCormick, and James Deering, merged to form International Harvester (now known as Navistar International Corporation), which became the fourth largest corporation in the country. Glessner was appointed vice president and continued in that capacity for many years. He died in 1936 at the age of 92.[3]
During the late 19th century, Chicago's most prestigious residential street was Prairie Avenue on the South Side. Enjoying economic success, Glessner decided to build a home for his family on Prairie Avenue and 18th Street.
