Damilola and I met during our university days through a friend which was my very good friend . Fast forward to NYSC, fortunately we got posted to the same place of primary Assignment (PPA) and through out the service year, our encounter was always very brief , but I had an opportunity to have her phone contact , so I always tried to check up on her to know how she’s doing . Thereafter , NYSC ended, I lost touch and there was an arms length on our communication, however we later re-aligned .
Fast track to January 2021, I decided to pay her a courtesy visit at her place of work, as I have promised in our earlier chats . She was very happy and I was glad I made her happy with the visitation, because we have had several phone conversations and WhatsApp chats but we never created any time to hang out. Then in June that same year she celebrated her birthday and I called and texted her birthday wishes and I asked what she wanted as a birthday gift , she replied few days after and said she wanted a perfume.
At this point my interest in her started developing because she was cool , calm, collected & reserved and I was getting back the attention and energy I was giving as well. Few days later I asked her over a chat that I will like us to hangout and she agreed , we decided to meet at a sea food restaurant as she had told me one of her major cravings , so at the lunch date I shared my intentions and interest with her but I didn’t get a clear or direct answer from her and I kept calm hoping for the best outcome , however after few days I asked her if she had an answer for me yet , but she requested for more time to think and sort out few things, which I accepted then later that week we were talking over a phone call when she gave me a positive response !!!! I was full of butterflies and excited and since then she has been a part of me . Cheers to what we share , feel and communicate… Much love for Damilola, because I love her to the the moon and back and I will say I have become a lucky chap.
I met Adekunle through a mutual friend during our university days. I remember admiring his handsome face and fashion sense…he has always been a slay King! Fast forward to 2016, I was deployed to the same PPA with him. During our NYSC days, we were just colleagues… We barely had any long conversation; our discussions were mainly work-related. It’s so amazing how God brought us together. I remember sending him birthday greetings after our youth service and then he started keeping in touch with me. In 2020, we had our first real conversation and he mentioned that he would come to see me in my office. I didn’t put much thought to it…I was just happy to hear from him. In January last year, he finally pulled a surprise visit at my office!! I found myself acting formal; although I was very cool with him. He asked to open an account but we couldn’t complete the process that day due to the requirements. We kept in touch but had our first romantic conversation in July, 2021 after my birthday… The best part of our chats was when we discovered that we shared same values and we were willing to give our best shot to love(speaking generally). He asked what I wanted for my birthday, I told him and he got me more than I asked for! We had our very first date and it was divine. He asked me out but I told him to give me some time. We have been open with each other and kept our chats very real! He also remained committed to staying in touch throughout each day while waiting (regardless of what the outcome will be)… I decided to surprise him and finally said YES to him! Feels like we’ve been together for years, so grateful love found me at the perfect time! We’re so blessed to have each other!!! And yes, he opened his account with me, he kept every little promise and I can say that his love for me is beyond measures! He surprised me with the sweetest marriage proposal… I’m excited to say we’re God’s own…cheers to a beautiful forever!!!
