Roslyn’s Childhood

Born in NYC and moved to Manhasset Hills in first grade, Roslyn was just a little ABC (American-born-Chinese) making her way through the wild west of Great Neck, Long Island, studying for her SATs since birth, fencing to hone her ninja skills, and mispronouncing "water/wudder" until corrected by fellow freshmen in college.

Tre’s Childhood

After being sent floating down the Lackawanna River like Moses in the reeds, Tre was adopted by the most kind and loving parents to walk the earth, Paula and Tony. When he wasn't begging his folks to take him skiing, he spent most of his time outside doing what Pennsylvania boys do.

Cornell Grad

Didn't make it to Harvard (shucks) but the "gorges" Ithaca Ivy still made her parents proud...we think.

Roslyn studied international relations, business, and English, spent two semesters in DC and Beijing, and somehow found her way into finance on the Bank of America trading floor after graduation.

Fordham Grad

Unlike his wife, Tre made it to Harvard...on the Hudson.

He was a Boyle Scholar, ran track, and founded the student managed fund. With what he learned at Fordham, coupled with the street smarts from living in the Bronx, he landed his first job at Goldman Sachs.

First Day: July 29th, 2015

From desk-mates to life-mates! They first met at the Refinery Rooftop. Tre's handshake was strong and Roslyn's cocktail was weak - actually most likely a mocktail.

Good memories include when Tre found out his fellow BAML colleague and future wife ate potato chips with chopsticks (infinitely more efficient and neat, highly recommend).

Meeting his family

Our first meal together was genuine Italian brick-oven pizza, pasta, prosciutto, and mozzarella (of course).

Meeting her family

As a rite of passage, Tre learned to make dumplings over Chinese New Year. His are now better than Roslyn's, who still hasn't mastered the art of the fold.

Yes Day: May 18th, 2018

After a sushi dinner out with her friend and MOH, Sam, who subtly tried to suggest a manicure but was denied because Roslyn was starving, Tre enlisted the help of their furbaby, Holden, to propose.

Utterly unsuspecting, Ros agreed to go on a 10pm stroll to walk the dog (who was bouncing off the walls thanks to an accidental lick of espresso), and together they navigated the smelly streets of Flatiron until finally ending up at Madison Square Park.

There, on the bench where they had sat during one of their very first dates, Tre got down on one knee, completely forgot what he had planned to say, and ended up letting the dog do all the talking with a collar that read, "Will you be my mom forever?"

Tears streaming down her face, she gave a resounding yes! It was a beautiful, unforgettable scene. Then, two security guards came to kick them out because the park was closing, but they were nice about it because WE JUST GOT ENGAGED!

Engagement Party
