Jenna and Kristin have been friends since they were both members of Gamma Sigma Sigma sorority at UMD. They quickly bonded over their shared musical taste (mainly The Offspring) and that one time Kristin’s pledge class threw a party at Jenna’s apartment. Last year, Jenna went on a cruise with the couple and they play together on a trivia league team in St. Paul.

Missy is Rob’s sisters-in-law and became fast friends with Kristin. Missy and Kristin are both former school teachers, and She currently homeschools her two children, Ivy and Ian. Missy is also the opener of Sweet Ivy Cakes and makes tasty and beautiful confections!

Ivy and Kristin have a lot of fun together. Ivy is a talented artist and they also enjoy playing board games with the whole family.

Wendy and Kristin have been siblings since their parent married, but only met in 2009. They bonded over their shared love of music (mainly Secondhand Serenade) and love to sing karaoke together at family functions.
Wendy will likely be unable to attend as she is expecting the birth of her first child the week of the wedding. We are excited for her and her husband Dominic.

Emily is the oldest daughter of the Quigley Family (Sarah and Chris). Emily loves getting her nails painted by Kristin when she visits her family. Emily is a talented dancer and a great big sister to Rosemary.

Rosemary is the youngest Quigley (Sarah and Chris). Rosie is a sweet sister to Emily and is Kristin’s god-daughter.

Sarah and Kristin went to college together at UMD where they joined the same sorority, Gamma Sigma Sigma. Sarah was matched with Kristin to be her Little Sister. They have had a strong friendship over many years including hanging out at 2nd street cafe, Liquor Lyle’s, and many birthday lunches throughout the years.

Jenny and Kristin have been friends since Jenny joined Gamma Sigma Sigma in college. Kristin hired Jenny to work with her at the MN state fair with her and she quickly became a part of the Silver Strands Family. They have spent a lot of time together throughout the years making dinners, throwing parties, and traveling together.

Mike is Rob’s brother and best friend. He and Rob share a mutual interest in computers, classic cars, and whiskey. The couple enjoys spending time with Mike and his family at their Farmington home.

Philip and Robert met while playing trivia on a league team in St. Paul. They went on a couples vacation cruise (along with Jenna’s Mom) for Rob’s first time out of the country. Rob and Phil also enjoy a good Blue Moon.

Ian is the youngest of the Johnson family (Mike and Missy). He enjoys spending time with the couple, playing games (especially Among Us and Ticket to Ride), building with legos, or racing cars.

Dominic and Rob have enjoyed each other’s company at many family gatherings; especially when they lose Sequence to the girls team. Rob and Dominic share a strong faith in the Catholic Church and they look forward to becoming brothers.

Robert is a South Minneapolis native and graduate of Minnehaha Academy and Midland University in Nebraska.
He has many talents including photography, playing guitar, telling jokes, singing, and impersonations (mostly Bob Dylan).
He has been married to Dina since 2003 and together they have been on many adventures around the world.

Dina Wahlund
Stepmother of the Bride
Dina grew up in the Philippines and moved to the United States in 2003 when she married Bob. She has been a great partner to Bob and always laughs at his jokes.
Dina has a great sense of humor and she is a fantastic cook. She makes the best egg rolls (they are both Rob and Kristin’s favorite egg rolls). Dina is very kind and has a lot of friends and visiting with them keeps her very busy! She is currently working in the bakery at Hyvee in Brooklyn Park and is very popular in her store.

CeCe is unable to attend our wedding.
Kristin and her mother used to enjoy shopping together, seeing free movies at the Regal, and talking on the phone every day. They likely picked up free tickets from Rob at the Regal box office a few times. It’s nice to think that she “met” her future son-in-law at one point in time.
In 2007, CeCe was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. She spent the next three years getting treatment, fighting an uphill battle, and enjoying life in Florida.
Cece passed away in 2010 and lives on in our hearts from that day forward.

Wendy lives in South Minneapolis with her father Bill. She enjoys spending time with the couple, shopping, and coming over to their house for dinner. The couple visit her often to mow the lawn in the summer or shovel the driveway in the winter. Wendy has been supportive of the couple and even remembers hearing about Kristin back in their movie theatre days!
Gary Johnson
Father of the Groom
Gary is a funny guy and is always making jokes. When he’s not working on his vintage cars (and we’re not talking about the ‘97 Buick), he enjoys going up to the family cabin. He is currently working on a project to build a garage up there this summer and Rob has volunteered to help. The couple enjoys spending time with Gary and his wife, Kathy, in Burnsville. He is a secret fan of the Bachelor franchise and “doesn’t watch the show” just like Rob.

Stepmother of the Groom
Kathy married Gary and brought two more brothers into Rob’s life. Kathy has a great sense of humor and she tells the the best stories! She enjoys going up to the family cabin in the summer to relax and go fishing. Kathy is always willing to help whether it’s lending the couple some fishing poles or trying to get Gary to end an hour-plus long phone call with Rob and Kristin.
