We met in 2000 while working at the Regal Eagan 16 in our high school years. Kristin would love to say “Hi Rob” and watch his face turn red. Rob loved the magnets she would color with his name on it. Safe to say we both had a little crush on each other.

Just like so many couples, the internet brought us together (again).
Rob is going to write this part.

We met at this little coffee shop. Both Rob and Kristin were nervous to meet again. What had changed? We chatted over coffee for a couple of hours. It was pretty awkward and neither of us were sure if this was going to work out.

Rob texted Kristin to go on another date. They met at Good Earth for dinner. He had the pot roast and she ordered a salad. This is where Kristin would begin her reign as “ordering better” than Rob on any given menu. The couple saw a movie, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, even though Kristin is typically not a Sci-fi fan... She managed to come around and enjoy the movie and the company. Both agree that this was a fun date.

Kristin had been playing in a bar trivia league for years and Rob was invited to join the group after some time.
Rob has proven himself to be a great addition to the team!

Rob and Kristin have enjoyed many date nights! Usually they go out for sushi or try new restaurants (with much nagging from Rob). Picture above is from a night of bar hopping in NE Minneapolis at Tony Jaros.
Rob tried a greenie!!

It was time to get a passport! Rob and Kristin booked a cruise with Jenna and Phil - the cruise experts (seriously, if you want to book cruise ask these guys for advice)! The couple had a fun adventure exploring the Caribbean and it Rob’s first time in the ocean! They went to Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, St. Kitts, Antigua, St. Lucia, and Barbados. The couple rode a pirate ship and went snorkeling. Rob not only touched a turtle - he walked the plank! Kristin did not touch a turtle and she responsibly used a ladder.

So can you believe Rob had never been to Duluth? Yeah, neither could Kristin. They both decided that since Kristin went to UMD and hadn’t been back in ages- it was time to head up to Duluth. They walked through all the canal park shops, went to the beach, drove up north to Betty’s pies, and climbed Enger tower before heading home.

Rob had an idea to book a fun getaway birthday for Kristin. He rented a room at the Emily Morgan hotel directly across from
The Alamo. It happened to have a haunted history and the weekend was certainly an adventure. They walked to a distillery, checked out The Alamo, river walk, and Pearl district. The couple also rented scooters - something they had always wanted to do! Needless to say it was a fun filled 4 day weekend!

Kristin had a work trip to Chicago for budget reviews- so the couple decided to go early and Rob would work remotely for a few days. They did all the Chicago things like seeing the bean, going to speakeasies, a tasting menu at a fancy restaurant, and Lou’s pizza! They also met up with Wendy and Dominic to go to a Filipino restaurant and the science museum!

Rob had purchased a small ring (per instructions from Kristin’s friend Jenna). He bought a vintage style ring that was similar to those they couple had looked at on a day trip to Stillwater.
Rob had been carrying this ring for over 6 months and decided Christmas would be his best opportunity. He wrapped a diamond ring ornament and placed it under the tree for Kristin.
The couple typically spends their Christmas Eve and morning with The Quigley Family (Sarah, Chris, Emily, and Rosemary). Then they travel all over town to stop at as many family Christmas celebrations as possible. It’s was late when they returned home and both were tired.
They changed into pajamas and decided to open the last couple of gifts. Kristin opened the small ornament box and as she did so, Rob got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.

The couple went to a vintage jeweler and selected a deco ring from their selection. Before they could get the ring back from being sized they began to tell close friends and family of their engagement.
We are so excited to get married and to have you join us for our wedding and reception. We look forward to sharing our special day with all of you!
