Moussa Castle

Is a unique waxworks museum. It is a testament to the love of a woman and the stubbornness of its creator. filled with strange mechanical tableaux and probably the most extensive collection of guns and weaponry you’ll ever see. It took Moussa nearly 60 years to complete.

Beiteddine Palace

Sitting majestically on a hill surrounded by terraced gardens and orchards, Beiteddine Palace is one of the highlights of the Chouf Mountains. This restored 19th-century gem features sumptuous interiors, views over the surrounding hills and an important archaeological collection. This magnificent palace was built over a period of 30 years and became the stronghold of Emir Bashir. It is the greatest surviving achievement of 19th-century Lebanese architecture.

Chouf Cedar Reserve

An excellent place for hiking or relaxing and meditating and has the largest number of ancient cedar trees – some are thought to date back 2,000 years. It is located on the slopes of Jebel Baruk mountain and has an area of 550 km², nearly 5.3% of the Lebanese territory, making it the largest natural reserve in Lebanon.

Atelier Assaf

A cultural, artistic and eco-tourism project set among nature in Mount Lebanon. The Atelier contains a sculpture gallery, a museum and a rural environmental house. The project was initiated by the three Assaf brothers and is devoted to showcasing a private collection of cultural and environmental art.

Niha Fortress

Carved into the rock of a cliff overlooking the Bisri and Aray valley, the Fortress of Niha is shaped like a cave over a hundred meters deep. The Fortress features chambers and rooms which were dug in order to shelter the soldiers and is first mentioned in 975AD.
