For our Friday 20th June 2025 wedding, we recommend planning to arrive in the Algarve the night before (Thursday, 19th June) and staying in or around Almancil or Quinta do Lago (more on this below).

Of course, if you are able to, we highly recommend planning to arrive earlier or even extending your trip as there are so many incredible places to discover out in beautiful Algarve. (Or just come soak up the sun like Louie!)

For those planning a longer trip, we will be organising meet-ups before and after the wedding day.

When booking flights please plan your flight into following airport:  Faro Airport (FAO) 

*This is the closest airport to the destination. Most cities in Europe offer direct flights so flight times and durations are likely to be much more convenient and affordable. Please note most airlines will not offer June 2025 more than 12 months in advance.

Magnolia Hotel (Quinta do Lago) This is the closest hotel to our home and will be the central pick-up and drop-off location for the coaches on our wedding day.

When making your reservation, please make sure to e-mail bookings@themagnoliahotelqdl.com and quote "JRWEDDINGJUNE25" for 10% discount. At the moment the price is 195€ per night per couple, but this can increase as we get closer to the time.

Ria Park Spa 5* Hotel (Quinta do Lago) The next closest hotel to us, which is also closer to the beach and seafront restaurants. They have provided fixed rates for our wedding party when you book via reservations@riaparkhotels.com, BEFORE 01 August 2024. Rates per room, per night:

• Standard Room for Single occupancy - € 220,00
• Standard Room for Double/Twin occupancy - € 240,00

• Garden View for Single occupancy - € 230,00
• Garden View for Double/Twin occupancy - € 250,00

• Sea Side View for Single occupancy - € 270,00

If you choose to seek alternate accommodations, we suggest choosing something in close proximity to one of these two hotels to ensure you are able to catch wedding coach on 20 June 2025.

For further accommodation options we recommend you search ‘Almancil’ and ‘Quinta do Lago’ through booking.com or Airbnb. You could also look to stay in Loulé for a more authentic Portuguese feel, or Vilamoura if you would like more nightlife options. (You could then easily get an UBER over to the hotels above on the day, to catch the coaches!)

Os Agostos

Between the coastline and the highlands of Algarve, 14 kms off the city of Faro and 5 kms off Santa Barbara de Nexe, lies the Agostos Estate where we shall be tying the knot!

Because of the remote location, we are putting on transportation from The Magnolia Hotel on the day for anyone who requires a seat.

5.00pm Be at Magnolian Hotel Reception.

5:15PM - Leaving from the front of The Magnolia Hotel to Os Agostos

6.00pm Ceremony starts. Venue gates will close at 5.55pm

02.00 AM - Coach will leaving Os Agostos back to The Magnolia Hotel (Quinta do Lago).

Parking is available at the venue for those who wish to drive. You must arrive no later than 5.45pm please if you wish to park. You will also need to remove your car the same night.

We can also provide details of private hire transport companies for those who wish to book earlier transport home too.
