On December 8, 2013, Reginald and Vanessa reconnected via Facebook and began conversing. The two had known each other since elementary school. Reginald asked Vanessa out a few days later. Although he knew he wouldn’t be home for a few months, it would give them both time to become more acquainted with each other more inside and out. After five months, they formally went on their very first date both enjoying every moment of it and instantly hitting it off.
Reginald approached Vanessa's father for his approval and for his little girl's hand in marriage. After receiving the blessing of her dad, he awaited patiently for her to arrive to the destination where he would ask the love of his life to be his wife! To astound her while awaiting for her to arrive with the nearness of her family, he got down on one knee and requested that she wed him! On that day of the Lord, Vanessa said "Yes" to Reginald’s request and the rest is history!
