Winnipeg, MB will likely be your primary airport, although you may be able to get connecting flights directly into Kenora, ON.
Kenora is ~200km east of Winnipeg. There are some bus and shuttle services available, or you may consider renting your own vehicle for more flexibility.
We will be supplying transportation to and from the island to the mainland for our guests via a water taxi (pontoon boat). Our main ports will be the Clarion Lakeside Hotel, and Lakewood Park Cabins.
There are many wonderful activities to do while in Lake of the Woods.
The M.S. Kenora offers daily cruises around the northern part of the lake. There also many options to rent jet skis, boats, kayaks/canoes and other water sports. For the kids, Hoopla Island (a kid-friendly water park) is a big hit!
There are also a number of hiking trails including Vernon Nature Trails, Rushing River Provincial Park and Tunnel Island Trail.
Some highlights in town include the Lake of the Woods Brewery, The Chip Truck, and the Husky the Muskie statue.
