Bluebird Taxis
Bluebird are the Taxis you want to use to avoid being ripped off. They are all metered properly and the drivers are friendly.
They also have an app you can download and use.
Check the photo page for a way to identify Blue bird cabs from others. Don't get mistaken by taxis with a similar logo with Blue Biro Group across the window.

General Things to know about Bali
*You will get hassled on the street by local vendors, don't get trapped all the time just keep walking and say no thanks unless you see something you are interested in. Be firm but also kind.
*Before getting into haggling on prices we suggest going to a fixed price shop to get an idea on prices you should be paying just to make sure you don't get ripped off. if you have any questions about what you should be paying for something, feel free to message us and we will try to help.
*Strongly recommend joining the Facebook page 'Bali Bogans' it has alot of info for new travelers, use the search function to find the info you need.
*Probably goes without saying but don't drink the water from the tap. Your hotel should provide 2 free bottles of water everyday, use those to brush your teeth and clean you toothbrush. Drinking water can be bought at the local mini marts for about 90 cents AUD for a big 1.5l bottle.
*Guide to money as follows: (Check the photo page for a cheat sheet)
-2000 = $0.20 AUD
-5000 = $0.50 AUD
-10,000 = $1.00 AUD
-20,000 = $2.00 AUD
-50,000 = $5.00 AUD
-100,000 = $10.00 AUD
*Money changers
-Bring cash with you and change in Bali. Try to only change $50 - $100 if you have to at the airport.
On the street try and only use BMC Money changers or Kuta Central Exchange, most others are slightly dodgy and will short change you. Always count your money at the counter before leaving.
*Essentials to bring to Bali
-Sunscreen (it's very expensive in bali)
-Insect repellent (make sure it contains DEET)
-Hydralite (or similar) easy to forget to drink water and de-hydrate yourself
-Panadol or Nurofen which ever you prefer
-Feminine Hygiene products
-Travel Adapters (Maybe a multi board so you only need 1 travel adapter instead of alot)
