Antigua Guatemala

about 1 hour away from Guatemala City
Small Spanish colonial city surrounded by volcanoes. Antigua Guatemala used to be Guatemala's capital up until the Santa Marta earthquakes in 1773. 

Hobbitenango

about 1 hour away from Guatemala City
Originally meant to be a small eco-village, Hobbitenango has grown to be an area where you can enjoy the views over the valley, restaurants and other attractions.

Volcán Pacaya

about 1 hour away from Guatemala City
An active volcano and one of  Guatemala's most popular attractions. You can hike the volcano up to its lava fields in about 2.5 hours and enjoy its beautiful views.

An all-time favorite, Lago de Atitlán formed as a result of a volcanic eruption about 84,000 years ago. The lake is surrounded by volcanoes, hills and 12 Mayan villages.

A natural gem! A natural 300 meter limestone bridge that holds 6 turquoise water pools, waterfalls and absolute breathtaking views. 

Tikal

Guatemala's most famous national park containing archaeological remains of the Mayan civilization. Iconic for Mundo Perdido Pyramid and Gran Jaguar Temple.
