Shopping for new Indian clothes?

Men often wear kurtas, sherwanis, or kurta vests to the ceremonies/sangeet (although western clothes are totally acceptable - feel free to opt for a unique flair/colorful outfit for the Sangeet!). The reception is normally western formal for men.

Women often wear sarees, lehengas, or shararas to the ceremonies/sangeet/reception. Western formal is perfectly fine for the reception as well!

Personal Note

We really appreciate your blessings and best wishes for this occasion and helping make our event so memorable. We feel your presence at our wedding is the best gift we could ask for. We kindly ask you to please not purchase or bring any tangible gifts (we're also planning a big cross-country move!). However, if you feel so inclined to give us a gift, please contribute to "New Beginnings" fund by Venmo (@Rachana-Raghupathy)!
