Puja & Keval met when they were both working at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland in 2016. Puja was working as a research trainee, and Keval was completing his PhD. One morning in April 2016, Keval serendipitously signed up as a volunteer for the study Puja was working on. She scanned his brain in an MRI, and that evening they started dating!
After the first date, they knew they found a partnership. Just a couple months later, Puja moved to Texas to start medical school and Keval remained in DC to finish his PhD. They remained long-distance through Puja's medical school career and Keval's research and medicine training.

We originally planned to get married and celebrate with everyone on May 2, 2020, but of course the pandemic came first. However, May 2 was a sentimental date for us and was a monumental point in our lives as the end of a long-distance relationship and a near start to residency together in Baltimore.
So, we did it! We got legally court married on May 2, 2020 and await excitedly for our Hindu wedding on June 18, 2022 to walk our Saat Phere for the first time with our family and friends.

Our relationship has spanned Texas, DC, Missouri, and across the ocean in England, and finally we've landed in one place together in Baltimore.

Puja was born in Seattle but grew up mostly in Dallas, Texas where her parents still reside!
She loves plants and takes care of 70+ plant babies in their growing indoor jungle. Show her some of your plants, and she'll never forget which ones you have.

Keval grew up in Livonia, Michigan, where his parents still reside!
He's an engineer at heart and in mind, and his ultimate dream has been to go to space. Talk to him about NASA, and he won't be able to stop...
As of May 2020, Keval is a licensed pilot and has taken his father-in-law flying and successfully landed without issues (heh heh).
