Transportation

Getting to Indiana
Unless you are driving, we recommend that you fly into the Indianapolis International Airport (IND). From there you can either Uber (recommended, approx $25), taxi, or rent a car on site to drive the 14 miles to downtown Indianapolis.

Once You're Here
If you are staying downtown, Indianapolis is a very walkable city! Since it will be the beginning of winter, please be sure to bring a warm coat and appropriate shoes. If the weather isn't cooperating, an Uber can take you almost anywhere downtown for less than $10.

$

Big Daddy's Bar & Grill (Local Bar) - Jared and Michelle go here often on Fridays to play music bingo, eat their GIANT pork tenderloins (an Indiana tradition), and drink cheap beer. It's a true midwestern local bar.

Goodfella's Pizza (has a speakeasy in the back past the bathrooms!)

Lincoln Square Pancake House (Brunch) - Michelle's go to order is the blueberry stuffed pancakes with extra blueberry butter!

$$$

Hedge Row (Brunch and dinner)

Milktooth (Brunch)

$$$$$
St. Elmo's Steakhouse - The most famous restaurant in Indianapolis. It was even featured in an episode of Parks and Rec! The must tries are the spicy shrimp cocktail and the Elmo Cola. (For a less expensive ($$$) option, try their sister restaurant, Harry & Izzy's)

Prime 47 Steakhouse

The Oceanaire Seafood Room - fantastic raw bar and $1 oysters all day Sunday!

Breweries
Sun King - Jared's favorite brewery and Indianapolis' largest! They typically have 12+ beer varieties ontap and inside you'll also find a local charcuterie shop and board games.

Indiana City - Michelle's favorite brewery, they typically carry many (D)IPAs, barrel aged items, and sours. It's located in an old bottling building and occasionally features live music.

Metazoa - Another delicious option with a huge variety that donates part of their proceeds to local animal shelters AND has a dog park on site!

Bars
Wise Guy Whiskey Lounge or Exchange Whiskey Bar - Speakeasy style cocktails . Goodfella's is located behind/through the dining area of Goodfella's Pizza.

The Rathskeller - German biergarten with large beers and German bites

Tastings - Dozens of wines on tap along with small plates and flatbreads

The Inferno Room - we recommend to sit indoors at this tiki bar with tropical and flaming drink options!

Kilroy's - "College-esque" sports bar with a large selection of long island pitchers and shooters. Bar food and infamous stuffed breadsticks here too!
