Kajal Patel
Kajal Patel
Matron of Honor
As my older sister, Kajal has looked after me her entire life and has been there through thick and thin. We have countless childhood memories we constantly reminisce about and she is truly someone who knows me inside and out. Choosing Kajal as my matron of honor was the easiest decision I have ever made.
Monic Amin
Monic Amin
Bridesmaid
I get to play the older sister part with Monic. She is my younger cousin & definitely my twin. We absolutely live life on the same wavelength and we are constantly shocked at how similar we are. She is just that type of person who is always down for anything and we never have a dull moment together. I also never laugh as hard as when I am with her!
Heather Amin
Heather Amin
Bridesmaid
Heather will always be my baby cousin no matter how old she gets. I have seen her from when she was 1 hour old to now an amazing 20-year-old. She is such a fun kid and being around her always means it'll be a great time. I cannot believe what an incredible woman she has grown up to be. She is also Monic's younger sister!
Nicole Pivonka
Nicole Pivonka
Bridesmaid
Nicole is the perfect definition of serendipity. We were randomly chosen to be roommates freshman year of nursing school and it was one of the best things to ever happen to me. We became best friends instantly and lived with each other throughout our entire college career. She has such a sweet heart and her caring and loving personality makes it impossible for you not to love her. Plus we act like complete weirdos when we are together and I love every moment of it!
Allison Barrese
Allison Barrese
Bridesmaid
Many people say it is hard to find a best friend when you are an adult, but Allison proved that wrong. We worked together as labor & delivery nurses. We helped each other get through stressful nightshifts and saved babies' lives together, so not sure what else could have gotten us closer!  She is so understanding and listens with both ears wide open at all times. We just get each other in every way, and I am so happy she came into my life.
Nicole Palau
Nicole Palau
Bridesmaid
Nicole was my very first best-friend at the young age of 5. We were two peas in a pod for a few years until she moved to Orlando with her family. It was my first heart-break, and I thought I'd never find a best friend like her again! 16 years passed and our friendship drifted until she moved back to my hometown for a short period of time. We instantly reconnected and called each other best friends all over again.  I totally see us being grandmas playing bingo together!
Jenisha Malhotra
Jenisha Malhotra
Bridesmaid
When I met Jen, she was welcoming and kind right off the bat and still is to this day. She is full of love and I constantly repeat how lucky I am to gain a sister like her. We have made so many amazing memories together from girl-talks to dinner dates to an epic trip to Iceland together. Our personalities match so well and I couldn't be more grateful for her!
Groomsmen
Robert Ucciferri
Robert Ucciferri
Best Man
I met Rob in the first days of college when we found out we shared classes and the same dorm building. One day he asked the shy Indian kid in class (me) to join his group project. I'm sure he was just trying to find someone to do all the work, but little did we know that this was the start of our friendship. We share a lot of amazing experiences and had some of the best summers of our lives together. I chose Rob to be my best man because he truly defines what a real friend should be like.
Cody Stephens
Cody Stephens
Groomsman
Cody has been a great friend since our college days. We shared the same taste in bass-heavy music, sports, and adventures that brought us close. Times have changed, festivals have come and gone, but our friendship remains true. He is someone I can always count on whether it is for a conversation or a spontaneous bike ride.
Yashwin Gupta
Yashwin Gupta
Groomsman
Yashwin has been my longest-lasting friendship, actually my first friend when I moved to the US from England. Little did I know the Indian kid down the block would become a friend for decades to come. From living in the same apartment complex as kids to moving to the same neighborhood in HS, to now both working in NYC. It's safe to say that he has always felt like a brother to me.
Rafael Ramirez
Rafael Ramirez
Groomsman
I first met the man, the myth, the legend of Rafael Alejandro Ramirez III back in college. He had always had that wild side but nevertheless an incredibly hard-working individual. He constantly inspires me to be better and to push myself.
Tyrone Johnson
Tyrone Johnson
Groomsman
Tyrone's friendship is one that has eclipsed multiple decades now. We met as young teenagers in the neighborhood my parents moved into. At that time, Tyrone had already built a presence in the area as "the best snow fort builder" and the guy who invited everyone to his pool. I will never forget those summers together at his house, hanging with his Uncle and annoying his Grandma!
Azad Neenan
Azad Neenan
Groomsman
Azad and I met at our first professional job post-college. We instantly clicked and started spending more time together outside of work. From indoor soccer leagues to concerts to training for a triathlon together, he always seems to be the friend I can count on to add excitement and kebabs to my life.
Raj Malhotra
Raj Malhotra
Groomsman
Raj has been the older brother I never had. I recall the first time hearing of him and seeing his weird style and haircuts...just thinking to myself oh boy, here we go. In the years since then, we have become very close and I now see myself striving to be like him. He is also someone I can lean on for open and unfiltered advice.

Pre-Wedding Glow

We will kick off the wedding events by performing traditional ceremonies, including the Pithi, where you can help us get radiant for our big day!

Traditional Meaning

The Pithi ceremony is one of the major auspicious occasions of Hindu marriage ceremonies. It is a celebration of love and happiness for the bride and groom. This ceremony entails rubbing a turmeric paste on the bride and groom’s face, hands and legs. Turmeric is excellent for the skin, brightening and evening out the skin tone. Loved ones have fun getting the bride and groom completely covered in the paste so they can glow for their wedding!

Let's Party!

This colorful evening of mehndi, dancing, and music is the perfect way to get the party started!

Dress Code

Men: Semi-formal- Indian or dress shirt/slacks (Bright & bold colors)
Ladies: Semi-formal- Indian or cocktail dress (Bright & bold colors)

Traditional Meaning

Mehndi (henna) is yet another traditional yet exciting pre-wedding ceremony. Mehndi is one of the sixteen adornments of the bride and her beauty is incomplete without it. It is also one of the oldest forms of body art conceived by man. The Mehndi Ceremony generally takes place the day before the wedding. Women relatives and friends of the bride also get Mehndi applied to their hands, although the designs are not as elaborate as the bridal Mehndi.

Sangeet is an opportunity to relish in the happiness and joy surrounding the couple. Relatives and friends of the Bride and Groom choreograph dance numbers to perform for the couple adding to the jubilation of the event. The song and dance portion of the Sangeet is a social bond connecting the two families to each other and to the bride and groom. When in Mexico, a fiesta theme is only right!

The Big Day

Please join us on the beach as we tie the knot with a symbolic Hindu wedding ceremony.

Dress Code

Men: Semi-formal- Indian or dress shirt/slacks (Pastel or light colors)
Ladies: Semi-formal- Indian or cocktail dress (Pastel or light colors)

Please keep in mind the wedding is on the beach. Dress comfortably. Sandals recommended.

Traditional Meaning

The groom first arrives at the ceremony and guests dance around him to the beat of a dhol, an Indian drum. After that, the bride's family greets the groom.

Rather than a traditional ‘walk down the aisle’, Hindu Brides are escorted down the aisle on a small carriage, or Doli. The male relatives on the Bride’s side usually carry the Doli down the aisle. The bride’s brothers or male cousins hold a white cloth in front of the groom as he is not allowed to see the bride until she enters the stage.

For the ceremony, the priest, groom, bride, and their parents sit beneath a mandap, or a canopy. The ceremony starts off with the kanya daan, in which the bride's parents give her away. Then the couple joins hands and circles four times around a small, enclosed fire (the agni) in a ritual called the mangal phera. Each completed circle represents the four goals of life:

1) Dharma: moral sense to lead a good life
2) Artha: prosperity
3) Kama: energy and passion
4) Moksha: liberation through self-realization

Finally, the groom will apply a red powder, Vermilion or sindoor, to the center of the bride's forehead and tie a black beaded necklace, mangalsutra, around her neck, symbolizing she's now a married woman.
