I was on the hunt for an apartment which brought me to Scott's front door in Hermosa Beach. Although I didn't end up living in the apartment, I did get a date and the rest is history.

We’ve had a lot of great days together but not surprisingly, the day we got engaged was one of the best. It’s not often I’m able to surprise Ploy. I tend to give things away without trying, while she seems to have a strange knack for recommending we do whatever it is I’m planning to do just before we do it. Somehow though, she seemed genuinely surprised and happy when I told her we were getting up early the next day for a hot air ballon ride at sunrise. It’s something we’d both always wanted to do. Later on, we took a walk at sunset and that great day ended with me getting down on one knee, and her saying Yes!
