Jaein and Sungmin met on 7/7/2018 in Seoul, South Korea where Jaein was studying abroad for the summer and Sungmin was on summer break getting ready to go to Budapest for his study abroad.
They met through a mutual friend... named Tinder. They got together for a "coffee," which turned into a dinner, which turned into a spontaneous hike up a mountain to Seoul N Tower, where they took this first ever picture together!
That summer, they fell in love more quickly than anyone could've imagined.
Long distance was a huge part of the relationship, but the Facetimes, late night talks, and memorable visits to each other like the one in Budapest made it work.
They grew individually and together as a couple in the past 3+ years. They both graduated from college, Sungmin got his first job, Jaein is getting her Master's degree, but most importantly, they now know exactly what to cook for each other to put a smile on their face.
