Olivia and Zach happened to meet online in December 2017 and although it took Olivia a week to respond she quickly realized how special Zach was and could not stop chatting with him. After many texts and phone calls they finally met on February 02, 2018 when Olivia invited Zach for a night on the town with her best friends. What a challenge he accepted!
When Zach walked in the door and Olivia caught a glimpse, it was inevitable... they were meant to be. That evening Zach solidified the connection by signing up for karaoke at Christian's Tailgate and sang to Olivia the hit song from Top Gun, "You've Lost That Loving Feeling."
Although Zach was not present during Noah's adoption he is still a major part of story because Zach immediately received Noah's approval when Noah climbed into his lap and snuggled Zach the 3rd night he visited Olivia's place. Zach considers Noah as his wise, old son and loves him as he would his very own.
On April 08, 2018 Zach made it official with Olivia by stating, "I love you." She was a mess. No makeup, morning breathe and bed head for days. She knew he meant it and returned the commitment.
Olivia and Zach took their first trip to Cancun in September 2018. It was rainy, gloomy and lacking entertainment. The hotel could not accommodate the rain, but that did not bring them down. Instead Olivia taught Zach how to play Sequence and they played for hours at the bar downstairs, watched movies and ate a lot of good food! They ended each night with a few rounds of Trivia Crack and a White Russian because it tasted like chocolate milk.
In February 2019 Olivia went home to Dallas to visit a friend and her newborn. Olivia and Zach had been discussing adopting a dog and behold! Olivia's friend had a plethora of Vizsla's. Olivia immediately connected with one adorable little lady that leaned against her leg and sent Olivia into a texting frenzy with Zach that they had to take this puppy home. With no hesitation Zach agreed and then came Riley!
Then in November 2019 Olivia and Zach decided they wanted to adopt a second Vizsla to keep the other more entertained so then came Lexi!
April 06, 2019 was a special day for them both. They had to celebrate their anniversary early due to scheduling, but that's okay! They had a wonderful day sipping on mimosas at Saint Dane's and then prepared for dinner at Doris Metropolitan. When the Uber arrived Zach mysteriously forgot something upstairs and disappeared. Dinner was absolutely delicious (they are big foodies) and the restaurant was kind enough to send free champagne over for their anniversary. Once home Olivia was asked to stay outside while Zach prepared a final surprise for their anniversary. She was then blindfolded and walked inside. As soon as she heard "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" she sense that this was it. He was proposing. And thank goodness he did!
Olivia and Zach had a bright idea that they wanted to run a half marathon. So, in August 09, 2019 they flew to Dublin, Ireland and on August 10, 2019 they ran... or more or less jogged and walked. It was a rewarding experience and also when Olivia decided she is retiring from long distance running and will cheer-lead Zach on for future runs. After the run the vacation began, sore knees, quads, shins and all! They adventured to Northern Ireland so they could visit the oldest whiskey distillery in Ireland and Game of Throne filming locations. On a wild hair they decided they would extend their vacation and ferry to Scotland and visit Edinburgh. By the end they had forgotten of their challenging half marathon and left with wonderful memories of Ireland and Scotland.
Olivia and Zach have many more adventures on their bucket list! They look forward to their future and cannot wait to see what it has in store for them. They share the same values and goals in life and are constantly challenging each other to be better and supporting each other when they are down.
