•CEREMONY•

The morning will start with two ceremonies. 

The first is a Ganesh Puja dedicated to removing obstacles and bestowing blessings upon the couple for a prosperous married life. 

The second is the Mandap Mahurat, in which both families seek blessings from Mother Earth.

•TRADITION•

Next is the Mameru. This is a Gujarati wedding tradition in which the bride's maternal aunts & uncles present the bride with gifts.

•CEREMONY•

Next is the Pithi ceremony, a ritual to bring good luck to the couple. Pithi, a turmeric mixture that is applied to the bride and groom's skin, bestows blessings upon the couple.

•CEREMONY•

We will end the afternoon with Grah Shanti. This ceremony ensures a happy and peaceful marital life for the couple.

Garba is a joyful form of dance that originates from the Indian state of Gujarat. It honors, worships and celebrates the divinity.

Next is the wedding ceremony.

•VIDAAI•

Traditionally, after the ceremony the bride departs from her home and is bid farewell by her family as she commences a new married life.
