After matching on a dating app, we planned to meet for the first time at a local coffee shop, The Red Cat, to get to know each other better. We were both very nervous, but it was an instant connection and we ended up talking for hours. After our first date, all either of us could think about was when we would get to see each other again.

In August of 2021, both our families were planning on visiting Austin. Sam decided that, with both our parents finally being in one place, that would be the best time to propose! After searching, he picked out the perfect spot: a beautiful botanical garden, much like the one we visited on one of our very first dates.
