Paros
for our non-Greek guests!
The island of Paros sits in the heart of the Aegean sea and belong to the Cyclades, the most popular Greek islands group. It is easily reachable from Athens and is very close to the other famous Cycaldes islands such as Santorini and Mykonos.
How to get there
Paros is easily accessible by a quick flight from Athens and a number of ferries.
Flying: If you are flying from Dublin or Amsterdam, you can fly to Athens first, and then take a local flight from Athens to Paros which run several times a day. The flight is about 40 minutes and costs approx 100-120 Euro.
The choice is yours whether you would like to fly to Athens and directly onto Paros in the same day, or whether you would like to spend a night or two in Athens to take in the sights.
Flying & ferry: Once you have arrived in Athens from Dublin or Amsterdam, another option is to take the ferry to Paros from the main port of Piraeus. You can get to Paros from Athens port in as little as 3.5 hours which is also very convenient. The ferries are comfortable, and you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy some scenic views. They cost approx 40EUR each direction. Tickets can be booked in advance, but no need to book earlier than 3 months as ferry timetables wont be available.

From other islands: If you choose to fly into one of the bigger nearby islands, you can also do this and get a short ferry to Paros. Both Mykonos and Naxos are good options for this and you can reach Paros in approx 1 hour by boat.
In the next few weeks we will be adding more information of flights we would recommend
Where to stay
Check out our list of accommodation under the "Hotels" tab. We reccommend that you stay close to the town of Naousa since most of the wedding activities will take place there.
If you plan on bringing or renting your own car when you get to Paros, you can stay further out, but if not, a centrally located hotel in Naousa town will be best as you are close to the bus routes to surrounding beaches from there.
