On May 28,2018, Nikita swiped right on Karan. She saw that he was tall and had a beard, but most importantly he had a name that she could pronounce. She thought she had struck gold when she saw that he was from London on his Dil Mil profile. Without hesitation, or even a hello, she bluntly and quite excitedly messaged him asking if he had an accent.
Must have been a great pick up line, because after two months of texting and talking over the phone, they finally met in person in San Francisco. The rest is history!
Let’s just preface this with Nikita believes that she is a natural born detective and should be a part of the FBI, so keeping this a secret was quite the challenge.
Karan wanted to have a proposal that was different and unique, but with the coronavirus going around it was quite the challenge. Three proposal plans later, everything was finally set, and all of Nikita’s questions were dodged. Playing dumb was quite hard when she was convinced she found clues and was on to something! As she says, her “spidy senses were tingling.”
Karan convinced her to go on a yacht which would take them to dinner. Once on the yacht, she was convinced to move to the bow to check out the views and take pictures. This is where Karan proceeded to propose. He could barely finish what he had to say before Nikita was overcome with excitement and couldn’t wait for her ring!
Little did she know that both of their families were hiding on the yacht, in the room below watching and patiently waiting for the celebrations to begin!
