This part of the trip is exclusively for the Robinson family. This way the Robinsons can get to know Nicky’s family before the wedding, in a more low-key setting, and not just at the wedding. We want the wedding to be a celebration, not a meet and greet.
We will only be staying in Portland for two nights. Once we get to the tiny town of Snow Hill, which is just outside Port Antonio, and after checking into the hotel Paradise Inn, which is located directly across the street from Nicky’s family’s property, we will have food and something to drink ready for us, as we will most likely be hungry from the travel. If there is time, we can zip over to San Shay Beach for an hour or two before dark, if we so desire.
The next day after breakfast we will be heading to Winnifred Beach for a half beach day. We will be making a few stops in Port Antonio to grab snacks and drinks. The reason being, drinks and alcohol are more expensive right down on the beach. We might also make a quick stop at the famous Boston Beach to grab world-renowned Jerk (non-jerk options as well), then off to Winnifred Beach for a half beach day.
After Winnifred Beach, we will head back to the hotel to freshen up and relax for some time before we head over to Nicky’s family property. This will be our engagement party with Nicky’s family. There will be real authentic Jamaican food, drinks, music and games. (Not all food will be spicy and there will be lots of options). When we’re in Portland our transfers will be taken care of. Please have a small amount of spending money for your drinks and food for the beach day.

The Paradise Inn, which is right across the from Nicky’s family property, is where we are staying for our 2 nights in Portland. We will have a wonderful family gathering and make our first introductions. We would like the families to get to know one another in some way before the wedding celebration.

This is the heart of Port Antonio, and where we stop to grab drinks and snacks before we arrive at Winnifred Beach.

We will be making a quick stop at the Blue Lagoon, on our way to Winnifred beach.

Winnifred Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the country, it is the beach that Nicky’s family goes to. The locals are very warm and welcoming. At the beach, it is no cost to get in, but a small donation would be gratefully appreciated to keep the beach clean. You can buy food and snacks on the beach from the locals.

This a natural spring you can wash the saltwater off your skin. It makes your hair so soft.

On our drive from Portland to Runaway Bay we will be making a stop at Konoko Falls. It as a Botanical garden, a mini zoo, and a beautiful waterfall. We can swim in the fall if you choose to. The entire experience is $20USD.
