His Story:
So I just finished a play and I'm drinking boxed wine with the cast in Rittenhouse Square Park when my friend Martin pulls out his phone. On his phone is a picture of him and this girl and I say, "Who is that?" He tells me it's his best friend Nicole and I say "She's beautiful, how come you never hooked me up?" He immediately sends her a text saying, "My friend just saw your picture and was blown away by your beauty (not what I said, but not inaccurate) and wants to meet you". He gives her my number and we scheduled a date that week.

Her Story:
So, I think I'm suppose to say where I was and what I was doing when I got THE TEXT. But that was 7 years ago and I haven't a clue. Most likely I was home, probably watching some ridiculous reality TV show when Martin texted me that he had a friend who saw my picture on his phone and was "blown away by my beauty". My first thought..."mmmmm I Don't Know". But HEY, I was 23, single, and (from my very foggy recollection) had just had my hair done, so why not. (Que shoulder shrug emoji)

2015 Nicole got the opportunity of a lifetime to take a two year position in Florida. It seemed like a short time to be reunited in Philly, but after a February visit I realized It was time to take the next step in our relationship.

7 years together is no easy feat. It took patience, prayers, and many bottles of wine to get to where we are today. We learned that each fight was a lesson in communication and each laugh was a step towards accepting each other as the goofballs we are. If you ask us how we did it, we would probably shrug our shoulders and say "I Don't Know!". But that's because there is no rhyme or reason to why and how you love. It just feels right. We both would agree that WE didn't make this decision. It was someone much greater, much more divine, that stuck us together...and for that, we say THANK YOU.

I said yes! Well really I shook my head...vigorously. I only gave Aaron 2 rules for our engagement. Rule #1: DO NOT propose to me in Florida. Rule #2: My family MUST be there. Safe to say he follows directions. Oh...and if your wondering if I knew...Of Course! Aaron can't hold water
-NicoleShe had rules, all I wanted was to marry her and I wanted her to know how special she is. So i set it up the way she wanted. Got everybody to the house and asked her to be my wife. The party after was just an added bonus.
