CT guy falls for NY girl

Typical New York Love Story

Guy Meets Girl at Bar.

We met by chance. I was in White Plains for a friend’s birthday. Ayush walks in and he ends up knowing my friends since they played basketball together. Me being the social butterfly that I am , I strike up a conversation with one of his friends . Ayush then interrupts our conversation and asked if I would like to join him to dance on the dance floor.

Before I left the party , he asked for my number , I was wondering whether I should give him a fake number , but something was different about him. He genuinely seemed like a good guy.

If anyone knows Ayush he is not a phone person , and neither am I. He was being so persistent in setting up a date. I was hesitant , but one of my girlfriends said Neetu give him a chance he seems like a sweet guy. Fast forward after our first date we shortly date right after.

A few texts turn to calls and then into dates and the rest is history.

The Proposal

Ayush and I have been dating for quite sometime and I knew we would eventually be engaged , but wasn't sure when he would pop the big question.

If you know me I hate dressing up and Ayush , said it was one of his friends birthday at a fancy brunch place and we couldn't bail.  So as I'm struggling to get ready , Ayush says its nice outside lets go for a walk before we head to brunch.  The pier in Hoboken is one my favorite spots ,so I didnt argue to the stroll before brunch.

As were walking down the pier , Ayush starts looking at me in a weird way and I ask him if he's okay. He said yes , and then all of a sudden he starts playing Drakes , " Kiki do you love me.? " At this moment I'm just confused and he stops playing the song and then starts this whole speech about our relationship.

Little did I know he was going to propose right.  He get's down on one knee and proposed and plays our song " Lucky to be in Love with my Best Friend , " by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat.

That moment was captured so beautifully and it started the whole wedding planning process.

5 Years Later ...
