Chidi
Matron of Honor

The first time I met the lovely bride was during Yuhglo camp 2018. Although I already knew her older sister, Bola, it wasn’t until that summer when Motunrayo attended camp that I got to meet her. We were assigned to the same room, with our bunk beds side by side. It was my first camp, and I was still adjusting to the new environment and meeting unfamiliar faces. I noticed she was a bit quiet and reserved, so I decided to start a conversation. When I saw her RSV Bible—the very one I remembered having back in Nigeria—I got excited and asked about it. That conversation sparked our friendship. Months later, she began attending the same college and the same church (ICCC) as I did, and our bond grew stronger from there.

My favorite memories with Motunrayo were our laid-back hangouts—those times when I’d visit her, and we’d spend hours talking, laughing, praying, and simply encouraging one another. I can’t forget a season when I was going through a tough time. Motunrayo was always there to uplift, encourage, and pray with me. God, in His wisdom, gave me a sister from another mama. I truly cherish how much we have in common, how well we understand each other, and how we’ve encountered similar experiences that have allowed us to connect in such a deep way. In both the good times and the low moments, her love has always been evident. She is such a caring, compassionate, and loving person, and I trust that God, who began a good work in her, will continue to lead and keep her in all things.

Like I share much in common with the bride, I also share things in common with the groom. Oji is such a light-hearted, intentional, and genuine brother. We share a love for proper exegesis and can discuss trending topics with ease. One of my favorite memories with Oji was during the early moments we met at church. We would memorize scripture together, encourage each other, and break bread. Those times held a special place in my heart and my journey with Christ. I pray that, in the same manner, the Lord will grant you the grace to continue in love for His truth as He leads you on His perfect path.

My prayer for you both is that you may know Him, the power of His resurrection, the fellowship of His suffering, being conformed to Him. May the Lord continue His work of sanctification and sustain you both for His glory! Love you both so much!

I met Motunrayo at Towson University during a BCF Bible study on a Monday evening. After the Bible study, she was waiting for her sister to pick her up, and we ended up having a long conversation outside. Even though we had just met, it felt like I had known her for years. Over the years, we became prayer partners, constantly encouraging each other in the Lord, hanging out, having sleepovers, cooking together, etc. We have seen each other at our lowest and highest and it’s an honor to witness her growth and all that God is doing in her life. Our friendship has flourished ever since, and I am truly grateful to God for bringing us together.

I met Oji at a BCF event when Towson leaders went to support Coppin’s Marvelous Encounter. After the program, a group of us went out to a diner and got some breakfast food. I remember that night I was sitting next to Oji and we started talking about life, and then church. He told me about his church and how his pastor was Ghanaian, which immediately caught my attention because I’m Ghanaian and I was in my first year at Towson. I didn’t know a lot of people at that time and I also wanted to attend church services since I lived on campus. Meeting a brother in Christ, especially at that time, was a huge blessing. I’m grateful for Oji’s life and it’s a honor to see him grow into the man that God has called him to become!

One of my favorite memories with Oji and Motunrayo was our trip to D.C. in 2022 to see the Christmas lights. It was freezing that day, but we still had a great time taking turns capturing pictures under the beautifully decorated lights. Another cherished memory was attending Pastor Nathaniel Bassey’s worship event together. After the program, it was just the four of us—Motunrayo, Oji, Emerald, and I—standing in the parking lot, reflecting on the night. What started as a conversation turned into praise, and then into prayer. Everyone else had left, but we stayed, worshiping together. It was a truly powerful moment in God’s presence.

My prayer for Oji and Motunrayo is that God’s glory will continually shine through their marriage. May their union be a blessing to many, and may they be used mightily in their respective fields. I pray that they fulfill their God-given purpose, always walking in love, peace, and divine favor. May their home be filled with joy, understanding, and the unshakable presence of God

I met Oji and Motunrayo at church! Shaddawts to ICCC! My favorite memory with Oji was at the bonfire at camp Manidoken! The groom was so determined to make a bonfire despite the humid climate. We all didn’t believe in him at first lol but then he did it and everyone enjoyed the fire and broke bread. Definitely an unforgettable moment!

A memorable moment with the bride was when she escorted me to the airport!!! I was going home to Ghana after 4 solid years!!! And she went with me, I’ll never forget your support sis. And the groom drove. I’m a blessed 3rd wheeler.

My advice for the couple is to not forget God. You already know what it is. You already know that success cannot be attained without God. Keep loving each other!!! Don’t ever stop being boyfriend and girlfriend. Always love yourselves and remember why you started this journey to begin with. I know God got you! And I can’t wait to see what God will do with the Oji Maduka family. Okay I’m getting emotional. I love you all. Shalom!

The groom is my brother! And the bride I met through Impact for Christ Community Church (ICCC) where we became close sisters in Christ.

My favorite memory with the bride and groom would be during my brother’s birthday. We both went out to buy the food and cake to celebrate with him.

It is my prayer that you both will continue to place God at the center of your marriage. Secondly, when you have arguments (because they will come) learn to listen to each other and communicate your emotions through love.

I met this lovely couple at church, never quite imagining that they would be spending a lifetime together. My earliest memory of Motunrayo is from a Friday Bible study at ICCC - a quiet girl, with her “assigned seat” being the front left of the church. We would go on to exchange numbers and have casual conversations with one another. I later invited Motunrayo to have lunch with me at Towson, marking the start of an amazing friendship, one that I cherish so dearly. Motunrayo and I have prayed together, laughed together, and cried together. I am truly blessed to be able to call her my sister, and to be a witness to all the great things God is doing in her life.

I also met Oji on a Friday Bible study and spoke with him after church. My first impression? Oji could talk! Not just talk, but hold a solid conversation. He was never ashamed to speak the truth of God’s word. From the start, he was very inviting, which meant a lot, considering I was visiting ICCC for the first time.

There are just so many favorite moments to name! From our nights of prayers and intercessions to dance parties, sleepovers, car ride jam sessions, and cooking together, we have formed countless cherished memories. One that stands out is when Olivia and I surprised Motunrayo with a picnic date for her 24th birthday. We each brought meals to share, and Motunrayo brought Gizdodo, which was absolutely delicious. I am still waiting for the recipe! That day was filled with much prayer, laughter, dancing, and our best attempts at being fake vloggers. Of course, no celebration with us is complete without getting our favorite, boba tea!

There's a hymn I love so much, "God give us Christian homes." I pray that the words of this hymn would be evident in your future home - where Oji is true and strong, where Motunrayo, in caring quest, will strive to show others Christ's way is best, where the Lord is an honored guest, and where your future children are led to know Christ in His beauty.

I met the bride and groom at church. I just moved to Baltimore for school and was invited to church by our mutual friend Chidi. We got closer in church while serving God.

My favorite memory of the bride and groom is the day Oji proposed. The atmosphere was filled with joy, and genuine love.

To my dearest friends: continue to love each other, and be each other’s number one support system. Love your both!

I met the bride at law school and my favorite memory with the bride was during our first semester of law school. We went out to celebrate after taking our first final exam even though we had four more exams to go.

My prayer for the couple is that their love will never cease. May they continue to grow and nurture their bond in Christ and remember to seek God first in every step as they embark on this journey together.

John
Best Man

I’ve known Oji since we were kids, and I met Motunrayo around 2020 at ICCC (church). One of my favorite memories with Oji was when we worked at UMBC together. Due to the nature of our relationship, we basically got paid to hang out, which made coming to work easier and something to look forward to.

My favorite memory of both Motunrayo and Oji was seeing them together on Oji’s 24th birthday (this was her first time celebrating his birthday with him as a couple). I love this memory because, as I saw the joy on their faces as they interacted with each other, it reminded me of the days when we wondered what woman the Lord would provide for him as a wife. God has truly done this work, and as the scripture says, “For You, Lord, have made me glad through Your work; I will triumph in the works of Your hands.”

My prayer for them is anchored on this scripture in a perpetual order in their marriage for gladness and victory through it all in Jesus Name!

I met the bride because I didn’t have a choice lol! I am the bride's senior brother. I met Oji through my sister Bola and I remember him being one of the nicest people, always ready to help at all times. I Wish them nothing but the best and a happy life!

I met the bride beacuse we came out the same womb. My favorite memory with them is when we went to Ibiza on Ahmeds private jet. Then I woke up and Tunrayo was telling me i’ll be late for school lol.
My prayer for them is that God gives them abundance, and a purposeful union with Gods favour and blessing.

From as early as I can remember, Tunrayo is someone I've admired and had the privilege of learning strength and kindness from.

To this day, I fondly remember our family trip to Camp YuhGlo, where we shared laughter and created lasting memories.

I wish that the bride and groom’s journey together is filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support.
