Mike and Sadie actually met after Mike sold her this car..... he apparently sold her on more than just the car! However, if you ask him she reached out first so I guess they really sold each other.

Their first date together was a Columbus Blue Jackets game. Sadie has always loved hockey, especially growing up watching her dad play so what better way to get to know her future husband. They had the best time and to be honest for the first time I don't think either of them paid attention to the game at all.

They continued to date and then on March 8th, Mike officially asked Sadie to be his girlfriend.

They ended up moving in together and starting to build their home. Then came COVID.... unfortunately due to Mike's job he only got to stay home for 2 weeks but they still valued the extra time together and grew even closer.

Unfortunately, Sadie's dad passed away. It was one of the hardest times in her life but truly made her realize that Mike would be there for her through thick and thin. He also made sure to ask her dad for her hand in marriage before he passed. They know he is looking down on them and will be in attendance at the wedding.

Woodford, their black lab was already a part of their family as Mike adopted him prior to their meeting. Bailey was their first puppy together. They took a trip to Nashville during covid to go add a new member to their family. He is the "golden child" of the family.

They continued to get to know each other and build their family together. These were the first official family photos they took together.

They bought their first house together in Worthington which felt very fitting considering Mike's last name. They made it their own and created lasting memories there.

They even hosted their first party at their new house together.

They eventually added a third child to the house. They clearly weren't busy enough with two dogs! This is Riesling, the biggest baby of the family.

The last but not least family member they added is Mr. Goose. He is the most perfect boy and is actually just a 4th dog.

Then they took their first trip to Arizona together for Mike's work. They loved the weather and imagined what life could be like in the desert sun. After Sadie finished veterinary school they ended up moving to Phoenix for Sadie's job.

They moved their dogs and goose and packed up their lives to chase the sun. While they thought this was going to be a more permanent change, Mike's work brought him back to Columbus 6 months after they moved.

They did long distance for six months while Sadie finished her internship. However, this time really made them appreciate their relationship and value their time together.

After only 3 months apart, Mike proposed. He says that he realized he couldn't imagine his life without Sadie in it.

Okay... they definitely have owned far too many houses and have too many pets!!
However, Sadie was accepted into her top choice residency program back in Columbus so they purchased a new house back in Ohio. Mike texted Sadie weekly photo updates and they both counted down the days until long distance was over.

Now they're counting down the days until the wedding and can't wait to have each and every one of you join them for the big day!
Thanks for reading about our mom and dad...
