We met through our neighbors. Cam has known them by working with Anja for many years, and lived across the street from Megan. One night there was an unintentional (or was it intentional?) set up when Megan was asked to come over to Montana's - the hottest bar in town during Covid. Unbeknownst to her, there was also someone else there, Cam. This is where Cam and Megan met for the first time and it was an instant connection.
Cam had been told about Megan for about a year as someone he has to meet, but Megan had never heard of Cam before. The matchmakers played this perfectly!
Anja was worried Megan might not like Cam's corny jokes, but to her surprise, Megan laughed all night! Now we are getting married and we owe it all to that random, not a set up, night!
We booked a trip to Nevis in the West Indies to use some of Cam's perks and it was a magical place.
The second night we were there, Cam said he had a special dinner booked for us but then was in a rush to get out to dinner before sunset. We were walked to a private Bungalow that Cam had reserved. Cam had told me we were having a special dinner with 8 other people. When we got there it was not ready and clear that it was supposed to be for just us. We decided to go enjoy the sunset out on the pier while they finished setting up.
We were enjoying drinks on the pier when he got a message that our table was ready. I was in no hurry and he was. The sunset was beautiful and I was taking it all in! I finally got the hint to hurry up and we finally left and walked down the pier back to the bungalow towards dinner.We approached the bungalow and it was so beautifully set up. I was admiring the scene and then Cam got down on his knee and I noticed there were lots of people around jumping out of the bushes. I mentioned that there are people here and asked what he was doing since this seemed like a private moment?! He reassured me that they are supposed to be here and then asked me to marry him! I looked up and realized it was a photographer and videographer. I could not believe it. It was magic. OF COURSE I SAID YES!
