We recommend booking your flights out on October 13, 2021 and flying into either Rome or Florence. From there you can take a train into Orvieto, or reserve a rental car to have a little Italian road trip!
There are quite a few websites to help you book the best airfare, we recommend Google Flights, SkyScanner, Hopper, Justfly, and Kayak. A bit of advice: Some sites allow you to do a month search vs. specific dates. This will help you find some great deals if you are a little more flexible.
By Car
Orvieto is a 1.5 hour drive from either airport in Rome, and about 2 hours from the Florence Airport.
By Train
Trains run frequently from Rome and Florence to Orvieto. The Orvieto train station is at the base of the city with a 5 minute funicular ride into the town center.
If you are in need of a ride, Paulo (the car service we used while visiting in November) can be contacted at +39 330 477399. He or his drivers can take you anywhere in Orvieto at all hours. Taxis are an option, too.
