Covid Couple

In an unimaginable roller coaster of a year, we're grateful and lucky to say that this has inarguably been the best period of our lives because we met and fell in love during Covid.

The pandemic has raised the stakes for relationships new and old, but we found joy in starting a new relationship during these crazy times.

First Date

We had our first date at Minnehaha Falls, where Ben had to cross the river and scale 388 stairs to get to Meg, who was on the other side of the park. When we met at the picnic table we instantly connected, which then made the lockdown a lot more cheery for us as we spent a lot of time getting to know each other, watching movies and playing trivia.

Movie Buffs

We love movies; classic, comedy, corny and everything in between.

Casablanca, Jaws, Ferris Bueller and Planes Trains and Automobiles were some of our first movie dates.

Avid football fans

Ben and Meg are both fans of NFL football, they have a friendly rivalry as Ben is a Minnesota Vikings fan and Meg is a Green Bay Packers fan.

Ben grew up playing football and played HS football with the his fellow Orioles and college football at St Olaf as a fullback with his fellow Oles. He also enjoys watching college football with his brother Andy and sister Abby. He vowed to never get married on a Saturday during the fall season, I guess it must be love.

Meg started playing fantasy football with friends around 10 years ago and was hooked.  She chose the Packers as her team because she likes that the city owns the team, loves watching Aaron Rodgers play, and the fact that their colors are green.

Sporty

We both enjoy getting outside during the warm months: to watch live baseball, hammock, grill, Ben to play golf and Meg to play volleyball.

Games
Playing board games, card games and games on the switch are a favorite past time of ours.
Tippi
Meg adopted Tippi in 2017.   Named for actress Tippi Hedron (think The Birds),  she is a Vizla/Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix and has turned Ben into a dog (Tippi) fan.
