Once you land in the Cancun Airport, you will have to pass through immigration. Immigration may take as little as 10-20 minutes or may take up to 60-120 minutes, so be prepared and take it easy. If you are flying in and out of the CUN airport, you no longer have to complete the tourist card.
After immigration, plan to pick up your bags and head outside till you find Lomas Travel. Lomas travel agents will be in blue button downs and a white tie, providing your name and "Stockamp Wedding".
You may consider packing only a carry-on, which can reduce the chance of any missing luggage when getting to the resort. Having a carry-on will also be helpful when entering back into the United States, reducing the chance of being lost or losing time waiting to pick up your luggage through customs.

We were lucky to travel to the resort for our (belated, thanks to COVID) family vacation in March 2022. To say the least, we loved it. We wanted to remind everyone the resort is an all-inclusive, meaning food and drinks (alcoholic as well) are included in the rate. While you have only one option of house wine (one red, one white, one rose), you are open to all house-liquors for any drink of your choice. Kurt particularly enjoyed a frozen strawberry daiquiri by the pool or grabbing a quick drink from the Club Houses attached to each building.

Be sure to enjoy the resort! Brian and I always loved to go by the fresh juice bar by the adult pools every morning. We loved our experience at the spa, especially the complimentary hydro-therapy to all services. Be sure to arrive 30-45 minutes before your scheduled spa service to experience it! Check out the drink menus here of all the different bars - we noticed each bar had different specialty cocktails!

Even after staying at the resort for a full week, we barely finished trying out every restaurant option - we were ending every night comparing which was our favorite. Most restaurants in the evening recommended beach causal to dressy casual, typically with closed-toed shoes or sandals. A few restaurant locations, such as the the Don Jaume (steak house), Bistro (French), and Il Botaccio (Italian) recommended slacks with closed-toed shoes for men. Most places allowed beach casual for women as well. Take away is to avoid swimsuits or pajamas when seated at dinner.
The Bistro and Hibachi restaurants are recommended to have reservations, so be sure to contact your bulter to help with scheduling.

Don't forget to utilize your butler service! You'll need to download WhatsApp to send messages to him or her. You can ask for assistance scheduling spa services, reservations for the French or Hibachi restaurants, additional pillows/towels, and aromatherapy for the room through your butler! Check out the services here.
You also will not need an outlet converter for your electronics!

It is always bittersweet to head home, but let's plan accordingly to make it as smooth as possible. Leave at least 3-4 hours before your departure time, anticipating the ride to the airport can take up to 45 minutes. Remember to check out and return your bracelet, or else it is a 90$ charge! Lomas travel will be transporting you back to the airport, so plan to arrive on time or 5-10 minutes early to your pick-up time. Head into the airport to your airline and prepare to check-in on a kiosk with your passport and flight information. Anticipate security may be backed up Friday through Sunday, so may take more than 30 minutes to get through security.

When preparing for your travel, check whether your return airport (the one you'll go through customs in the US) accepts Mobile Passport. Mobile Passport is an app you can upload your passport information to expedite your entry through immigration. When entering the US, you will go through immigration, get your bags to go through customs, then go through TSA to enter the terminals for connecting flights.
Customs in the US may take a while, so try to have a 2-3 hour layover to allow for delays or prolonged waits to ensure you can still make your connecting flight.
