Megan's Story
On Thanksgiving Day, 2016, My family and I we're in Houston TX, celebrating Thanksgiving with my mom's side of the family. We never go to Houston for Thanksgiving, but this particular year we decided to. My Aunt Kelly thought it would be a great idea to meet her neighbor, who was a football player for the Houston Texans ( little did I know I would be more interested in the neighbor's friend.) We had just finished getting a tour of his house, when Daniel walks in with flowers for his teammates mom. Im pretty sure that at that particular moment I had to keep my cool and pretend I hadn't just turned bright red, because I thought this man was so darn cute! I always crack jokes with Dan for that night because I had to be the one to make the first move, twice, because he didn't want to go Black Friday shopping with me that night after some pie.
Daniel's Story
Every year during the football season I would spend Thanksgiving and Christmas with a teammate and his family. It was my second year with the Texans and my teammate was hosting another Thanksgiving at his house. As i walked in the door, expecting to be greeted by my teammate, I see Megan with her family. She was an extremely gorgeous redhead standing there with a cute fall colored dress that matched her hair. I was totally caught off guard! i Introduced myself and couldn't keep my eyes off her. i had brought flowers for my teammates mom because i didn't want to show up empty handed. I wanted so badly to give the flowers to Megan but thought that might be a little too aggressive. Megan will tell you that I denied going black friday shopping that night with her. That is sort of true. In my mind that is the absolute worst time to shop. So yes i did tell her no but i used that as an opportunity to ask her out on our first date. From that day on Megan and I have created an amazing relationship that keeps growing and becomes more exciting every year. She is definitely a handful at times, and I think that's the Texas girl in her- but life would be boring without her in it.
Daniel's Story
I had been dating Megan for about a year and a half, and knew quite early on that I wanted to ask Megan to Marry Me, but it had to be in the most perfect way. Megan is the most selfless, kind, thoughtful, most beautiful women I have ever met. I knew being proposed to was something Megan had dreamed about since she was a little girl, and I knew It had to be perfect. Around the time of our engagement, Megan and I couldn't stop listening to Jason Aldean's song "You Make It Easy." Megan would cry, yes every time, when it would play in the car or on her phone. This song meant everything to her, and to us, because It was truly everything we both felt about each other. After asking Mr. and Mrs. Sharp for their daughters hand in marriage, buying Megan's dream engagement ring, I planned what I envisioned to be the most perfect night of our lives. On the night of September 25, surrounded by friends and family , I propose to my future wife, Megan, at a Jason Aldean's concert to "You Make It Easy."
Megan's Story
Daniel and I had been dating for quite some time, and I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. Dan keeps me grounded, puts me at ease, and makes me feel safe. He is truly the most amazing man I have ever met. I knew things with us were getting serious, and I knew he was planning something, he isn't a very good liar. I guess that's a good thing! On the night of September 25th, Dan planned what was the most perfect night of our lives. With friends and family surrounding us, and Jason Aldean's live song of "You Make It Easy'" playing in the background, Dan whispered in my ear "Will you love me forever?" My eyes lit up and said "what?" Dan turned me around, got down on one knee and said "Megan Brianne Sharp, will you marry me?"
