Meaghan and Ivan met in the summer of 2017. Funny enough, they both lived in the same condo building for a few years before ever crossing paths. Until one evening, Both of their gym schedules lined up. Ivan thought to himself who this new girl was invading his 8pm gym time. It started with a hello, and as a the weeks went by, the hellos quickly turned into conversations. Meaghan talked his ear off that one evening, and thats when he knew she was the one.
He decided to make his move, he extended his workout until she was finished hers (as if she didn't notice) so that they could take the elevator together back up to their units. As Meaghan exits the elevator, he popped the question; Would you like to go out for a coffee sometime?
Their first date was the weekend of the Canadian International Air Show. With their Starbucks in hand, they went for a walk by the water to get a good view. It was a perfect day, until it started raining. They got back to their condo completely soaking wet, it was almost as romantic as that scene from The Notebook, but the rain wasn't going to stop them. They changed out of their wet clothes and continued on until the evening.
Fast forward to August 10, 2020. On Chesterman Beach, Tofino, British Columbia. On a perfect day of surfing the ocean, in his wetsuit, Ivan gets down on one knee and Popped the biggest question of all. Will you marry me?
