Mbatha Wedding

It was a chilly winter’s evening in a popular restaurant in Sandton where we first met. We were attending a mutual friend's birthday dinner.

Wendy says she noticed a guy with a grey cardigan jersey (50 shades was still popular then) and glasses and wondered…"Who is that?"

Q on the other hand says that night was a bit of a blur but he remembers this yellow bone across from him who at some point during the cause of the event started “hitting on him”... Lol! Interesting how he does not admit to having made the first move.

Nevertheless, you know what they say…The rest is history!

After catching and missing several flights between Cape Town and Johannesburg for 5 years, Wendy was based in Cape Town and Q in Joburg. We were having a quiet and beautiful Saturday at the De Hoek Hotel (this was sold as a relaxing getaway for a catch up) and while we were having a picnic- Q popped the question and Wendy said “YES”!

Yes, guys from Ulundi (Nhlungwane)i are romantic and they do picnics :-)
