Marybeth and Ben met working at The Woodlands, a summer camp for kids with disabilities. Marybeth was entering her junior year of college and Ben had recently started school following his time in the US Marine Corps. There, they immediately became friends and started dating. They bonded over their love for being active, spending time outside, and helping others.
After over four years of being together, Ben proposed to Marybeth a few days after her birthday with the help of her family. He wrote THE question on Marybeth's back while she tried to guess it. Spoiler alert - her guess was not right! When she turned around, he was down on one knee. He never actually asked the question (maybe he will live that down someday...) but the ring is on her finger so we guess it counts :)
Marybeth and Ben now live in Baltimore where she is an OT at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Ben works in the Baltimore City school system. They love exploring their surroundings, trying different foods, playing games, and spending time with friends and family.
