What can I expect from a Catholic wedding?
Patrick and I will be getting married in a traditional Catholic ceremony in the context of the Mass. We believe that Catholic wedding ceremonies are beautiful and we cannot wait to share this piece of our religious culture with our friends and family! We will have programs with more information on what to do at certain parts of the Mass, and our priest will provide additional instructions as we go. For more information on what to expect at a Catholic wedding Mass, check out this website: https://www.weddingwire.com/wedding-ideas/catholic-wedding-ceremony
Am I able to attend a Catholic ceremony if I am not Catholic?
Absolutely! We invite all our our guests to attend the ceremony, regardless of their religious affiliation. We truly hope you will all be there to celebrate with us.
In light of recent CDC guidelines, will masks be required during the wedding ceremony?
The health and safety of our friends and family is important to us and we continue to look to science and the CDC for guidance. After speaking with our venues and looking at the latest CDC guidelines and Nashville mandates, we will follow their recommendations for the ceremony and reception. Fully vaccinated guests will not be required to wear masks. At this time, we are excited to say that at least 90% of our guests are fully vaccinated. We caution our unvaccinated and high-risk guests that, despite encouraging signs, they need to continue to take precautions to keep themselves and others healthy. We will have masks available.
What precautions is the Church taking against the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic?
Christ the King is limiting capacity to ensure social distancing.
Should we head to the reception venue immediately following the ceremony?
No. We expect that our ceremony will end between 2 and 2:30; however, our reception does not begin until 5:00. The bride and groom will be taking pictures with the bridal party during this time. Our reception venue is located in downtown Nashville, walking distance from Broadway, so you are welcome to head that way early and find a bar to grab a drink and listen to music in between.

Please note that the ceremony will be taking place in a Catholic Church. You are welcome to change between the ceremony and reception if you would like.

What's on the menu?
We will be having a plated dinner with open bar. Dinner will include various hors d'oeuvres, salad, entree, and (of course!) wedding cake. Entree options will include bourbon glazed salmon with asparagus and peppercorn melange risotto, pear and rosemary chicken with rosemary fingerling potatoes and roasted red pepper goat cheese brussels, and blackberry pork loin with sweet potato mash and broccoli. Please indicate with your RSVP which entree you would like.
Will you be able to accomodate dietary restrictions?
Yes! If you have any dietary accomodations, please indicate on your RSVP. Our caterer can accomodate several dietary restrictions, including (but not limited to) allergen free meals, gluten free meals, and vegetarian meals. If you have any additional questions related to dietary restrictions, please contact the bride.
Can I bring a guest to the wedding?
We are currently only able to accomodate guests indicated on your invitation. If you have additional questions, please contact the bride.
Can I bring my child to the wedding?
Similar to dates, we are only able to accomodate children if indicated on the invitation. We are definitely planning to party and hope you will use this occasion as a night out! If you are in need of childcare in the Nashville, please contact the bride. She has been a babysitter in the Nashville area for several years and has contacts with several other excellent Nashville sitters. She would be happy to help arrange childcare for you if needed. If you have any additional questions regarding children, please contact the bride.
