Nikki, my big sister who was more like a first best friend. She helped raised me and has/will always be there for me without question or hesitation. On top of all of that, she gave me my first into motherhood by giving me my godson/nephew and for that, I will always be grateful. From walking me to my first day of school to walking with me down the aisle, ain't no sister like the one I've got.
Granny, I really wish I could physically have you here for this moment. All my life, you've been waiting for me to finally find the man I'll marry and, more importantly, find someone I can have your great-grandkids with lol. I am blessed to have had the ability to experience you the way that I did down to the very end. The thought of you not being here to experience picking out a wedding dressed with me breaks my heart but knowing I have an angel like you watching over me and this union is something that helps bring me peace.
I always had my mother and my grandmother played the role of my father. Melva helped raise me until the day she died when I was sixteen years old. I credit all of my achievements to her in heaven making sure that I find success in the things I set my head to. I know Spanish because of her which gives me pride in my heritage. She was the Rock to our family and she will never be forgotten.
Rohan passed when I was 23 years old and even though he was in my life for 7 years, he made an impact unlike many. At first he was a friend of Peter's but then became a brother for life. With so many stories to still make us laugh and reminisce, Rohan would have been a groomsmen had he still been here with us today!
