1. Tom Jenkins BBQ (1236 S. Federal Hwy, Ft. Lauderdale): Counter serve spot with picnic tables & Southern style BBQ ribs, chicken & soul-food side dishes. Definitely a must have!

2. Southport Raw Bar (1536 Cordova Rd, Ft. Lauderdale): Oldest raw bar in Ft. Lauderdale; best oysters with a dockside view. Great atmosphere with patio dining over looking the waterway, live music 7 days a week. Children friendly.

3. Elbo Room (241 S. Ft. Lauderdale Beach Blvd): Long running beach bar with live bands & DJ & dancing.

4. Floridian Restaurant (1410 E. Las Olas Blvd, Ft. Lauderdale): This has been a landmark for over 70 years. Best breakfast and late night eats.

5. Coconuts Waterside Grill (429 Seabreeze Blvd, Ft. Lauderdale): Great casual spot to enjoy sunshine and food. On Sundays you can catch a boat show.

6. Sea Watch On The Ocean (6002 N. Ocean Blvd, Ft. Lauderdale): Seafood restaurant with old time Florida decor and sweeping ocean views. 

7. 925 Nuevo's Cubanos (925 N. Andrews Ave., Ft. Lauderdale): Authentic Cuban cuisine.

Attractions/Activities

1. Las Olas Blvd. : Las Olas Blvd. is at the forefront of everything from fashion boutiques and art galleries, to memorable restaurants, sidewalk cafes and bars. This is South Florida's most architecturally unique shopping, dining & night life district.

2. Hollywood Beach Broadwalk (101 N. Broadwalk, Hollywood, FL): Hollywood Beach is best known for its Atlantic Ocean-facing beaches with over 50 restaurants, 30 shops & 3 parks line this historic broadwalk with an old timey vibe.

Bird of Prey Center & free-flight walk-through aviary, alligators, flamingos, bobcats, black bears & Florida panthers. Exotic & native plants, including Florida’s “Champion” trees.
